BALDNESS CURE

Male Pattern Baldness (MPB) - Is there a cure?  Some may say "no" if it is genetic, as it is inevitable that, as a man, you too will start balding or developing a receding hair line if you come from a balding male linage.   For some men the thought of losing their hair can be frustrating, depressing  even though men are encouraged to discuss the emotion of hair loss openly with each other.  However,  before you throw in the towel on life as you watch your full head of hair representing youth, strength and vitally slowly disappear there are remedy's on the market that can slow down the thinning process or restore you to your former glory.  And no I'm not referring to the old Viking tales of rubbing goose droppings on your crown to encourage growth or any other animal excrement for that matter, unless of course you would to give it a go.  If not I'm talking proper scientifically researched natural products.

Here are a few tried and tested products that can help with hair loss in Men.

HAIR LOSS

MALE PATTERN BALDNESS

More than 95% of thinning hair in men is due to male pattern baldness (also known as androgenic alopecia).

MALE PATTERN BALDNESS SIGNS

Hair loss in men is usually characterized by hair receding from the sides of the forehead or the temples (otherwise known as a "receding hairline").   Both the receding hairline and the bald patch on top become more pronounced until they eventually meet, leaving a horseshoe-shaped ring of hair around the back of the head.  However, as you will see from the chart below there are different types of balding patterns that can start to occur in men.

ALOPECIA
Alopecia is the medical term for hair loss - that occurs in most men at some stage of their live. The onset of hair loss in men can start from the age of 15 onwards or in some case soon after puberty but generally it can take up to 15-25 years to go bald completely. However some men have gone bald sooner.

MALE PATTERN BALDNESS CAUSES
Baldness in men has something to do with the male sex hormone testosterone and how it affects hair follicles in certain areas of the  body (usually the head). Even though men with baldness have a normal testosterone levels in their body, what happens is the area with  defective hair follicles (usually on the head) converts the testosterone into another hormone called dihydro-testosterone DHT. This new hormone then gets into the blood capillaries and shrinks the affected follicles. When the follicles in the affected area start to shrink this causes the hair strands to grow out thinner each time the cycle of growth occurs. Eventually what happens is the life span of the new hair growth before shedding is shorter, the hair grows out lighter in colour, short, thin and very fine and becomes barely noticeable. This new type of hair is called Vellus hair - the fine hair which normally grows all over the human body, except for on the lips, palm of your hands and soles of the feet, and can barely be seen. Eventually the hair will stop growing resulting in baldness in that area.

DHT Experts say that 95% of male pattern baldness is due to the effects of DHT on the hair follicles. How much DHT is produced is mainly down to genetics the more DHT produced, the greater the hair loss.

MALE PATTERN BALDNESS CURE

Whilst most men will accept hair loss as an inevitable fact of life, especially if baldness has already occurred in the male lineage, others may seek out a baldness cure to prevent it. With the advancement of research and technology there are now many treatments now available  to prevent hair loss.

NIOXIN

Nioxin is a product that provides real solutions for thinning hair. With the advanced technologies used in Nioxin this scalp treatment is meant to deliver thicker hair. There are many products in the Nioxin range to suit all hair types and thinning conditions.

BIOTIN
Biotin, also known as vitamin H or coenzyme R, is a water-soluble B-vitamin that provides dietary support for healthy hair and nails as well as energy production. By supporting the matrix of hair and nails Biotin promotes shiny, lustrous hair and strong, resilient nails.

Customers who have used this product:
"I've never had the thickest or fullest head of hair, but normally it looked pretty healthy. In the last 10 months or so I noticed some thinning and quite a bit more than usual seemed to be falling out. I really didn't want to go bald in my 30s. I tried rogaine...not great results. Tried a few other things but eventually came upon the biotin. Taking it for a couple weeks I saw a difference. My hair was more shiny and seemed to feel a little more full, especially on the top. I noticed strengthening in my nails as well..."  (Ray Hewitt)
